Frost Engineering & Consulting assisted in carrying out a master plan survey of ASHTA Chemical’s Ashtabula production facility. The scope of work included inspecting structural platforms, utility frames, and the primary building structure in order to identify potential future maintenance needs. This work was all in an effort to avoid potential delays in production or shipping caused by building infrastructure issues in the plant, as well as to limit unplanned future capital expenditures. Through the review, a number of short and near term deficiencies in the plant were identified with recommendations and cost estimates provided to ASHTA. With confidence in the assessment, ASHTA was able to proceed with making a major capital investment in new equipment for the plant.
