Frost Engineering & Consulting served as the specialty structural engineer for the load-bearing and non-load bearing cold-formed steel framing throughout this new construction building on the White River in Indianapolis. The mixed-use apartment and retail space cost approximately $19.5 million and took two years to complete. The scope encompassed the design and engineered calculation submittal for exterior wall, interior & exterior ceiling, and door & window framing for various areas of the facility. In designing these components, Frost adhered to the Indiana State Building Code and applied the design equations and methodologies of the IBC, ASCE 7-10, AISI S100 and SSMA design guidelines.
