In 2015, the University of Notre Dame began construction on two interconnected buildings with 185,000 gross square feet of floor space at a cost of approximately $72 million. Jenkins Hall will be the home of Notre Dame’s new Keough School of Global Affairs. Nanovic Hall will house the Nanovic Institute for European Studies and the departments of Economics, Political Science, and Sociology. Frost Engineering & Consulting served as the specialty structural engineer for the cold-formed steel framing throughout the building. The scope encompassed the design and engineered calculation submittal for interior wall, interior and exterior ceiling, and bulkhead framing for various areas of the facility.
