Frost Engineering & Consulting has carried out storage rack surveys in multiple facilities around the country owned by some of the largest grocery and food product manufacturers in the United States. Frost has developed a data collection system for identifying the geometric properties, connection details, and material strengths of rack upright frames, beams, base plates, and bracing. Survey results have been passed to other engineering firms for load rating analyses. Furthermore, Frost has been called to site to carry out forensic inspection of collapsed or seriously damaged rack systems.
