Frost Engineering & Consulting worked with Associated Supply Chain solutions to carry out a storage rack survey at the SPS Hanger facility in Bolingbrook, Illinois. During the site visit, the Frost field investigation team collected the geometric properties, material strengths of rack upright frames, beams, base plates, and bracing. Facility material counts are presented in the form of a facility plan layouts identifying all aforementioned components of the storage racks.

The collected data was used for reprofiling of the rack in the facility as well as rack load capacity recertification. Furthermore, Frost has been called to site to carry out forensic inspection of collapsed or seriously damaged rack systems. Analysis of the rack systems adhere to State Building Codes, Municipal Code Requirements, and applying equations and methodologies of IBC, ASCE 7 and AISI.
