Jenkins Hall and Nanovic Hall are adjoining buildings for international institutes and the social sciences. The two four-story interconnected buildings have a combined square footage of approximately 185,500 square feet. The total project cost was estimated at $72 million.
Jenkins Hall houses the colleges of global affairs, international studies, civil and human rights, international peace, global development and administration. The two four-story interconnected buildings have a combined square footage of approximately 185,500 square feet. The total project cost was estimated at $72 million.
In addition to faculty and staff offices and an integrative lab for teams of students, the buildings feature a shared central two-story forum, a chapel and multi-faith prayer room and outdoor courtyard with an over 700-square-foot skylight. Frost served as the specialty structural engineer for cold-formed steel framing throughout both structures. The scope encompassed the design and engineered calculation submittal for interior wall, interior and exterior ceiling and bulkhead framing for various areas of the facilities.
