The Elkhart Health & Aquatics facility was a collaboration between Beacon Health System, Elkhart Community Schools and the Community Foundation of Elkhart. The facility was envisioned by community leaders and generous donors as a place of health, wellness and growth for Elkhart County.

The center includes indoor and outdoor community common spaces, fitness facilities, and a larger than Olympic-sized 66-meter competition pool with spectator seating for up to 1,200 people. The 1.1 million gallon pool is the largest in the region and the fifth swimming pool of its size for public use in the nation.

Frost Engineering was enlisted for structural engineering services for this entirely new construction project, one of the largest capital campaigns ever in Elkhart County. The total project cost approximately $72 million for the 171,000 sq. ft facility. Total project time was approximately two years. The structure materials consist of reinforced concrete footings, steel framing, CMU bearing and shear walls, concrete floor decks, and open-web steel joist roofs with metal decking.
