The Stayer Center for Executive Education for the Mendoza College of Business serves as a southern gateway to the campus at the University of Notre Dame. The three-story, approximately 63,500 square foot brick and stone structure was designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects.

The building features entrances on all sides connecting to the campus. The first floor of the building includes large multipurpose spaces and the second floor offers a range of class and study rooms. The third floor provides offices for faculty and staff as well as an executive lounge.

Frost’s scope included the design of the cold-formed steel portal framing systems for this complex structure with over twenty different jamb, header and sill scenarios.
Frost Engineering & Consulting provided structural engineering services for this project with construction costs estimated at $22 million. Frost’s scope included the design of the cold-formed steel portal framing systems for this complex structure with over twenty different jamb, header and sill scenarios. The Frost team incorporated the framing into a slew of tightly packed structural and architectural elements including steel HSS tubes, concrete masonry, and arched precast concrete lintels.
