Frost Engineering & Consulting conducted field measurements at Dayton-Phoenix’s locomotive engine parts manufacturing facility in Dayton, Ohio, to assess the existing die rack systems and subsequently developed load ratings.

Given the high variability of the numerous rack systems, which were constructed incrementally as needed, the Frost team undertook comprehensive field measurements to verify dimensions, enabling the development of unique load ratings for each rack. Frost provided engineered load ratings for each individual shelf on each rack unit, constrained by either strength or deflection limits.
