Frost Engineering & Consulting was selected by Associated Drywall Partners for specialty engineering services designing the exterior, non-load bearing cold-formed steel (CFS) wall framing for this mixed-use residential building in the Market East District of Indianapolis, Indiana. The project included an adaptive reuse solution by converting an existing commercial structure to a 362,000 square foot mixed-use development, including four stories of apartments and amenity spaces over parking, office, and retail space.
Frost’s scope included exterior wall wind load calculations and the design of cold-formed metal framing. The Frost team designed all exterior CFS components while adhering to the State Building Code and applying the equations and methodologies of the IBC Building Code, ASCE 7 and AISI S100.
