Meet our new intern!
Capra Williams is from Bend, Oregon and she recently completed her undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering at University of Portland. During the summer between her junior and senior year Capra interned with a general contractor in Seattle on a reservoir replacement project. Before coming to the University of Notre Dame for the structural engineering master’s program, she completed a second internship with the same general contractor working on a pump station rehabilitation project. Capra’s current research project involves fire resistance of FRP structural members and will conclude at the end of next semester.
Working at Frost this summer, Capra is assisting with new and retrofit designs using a vast array of materials, including pultruded FRP, steel, cold-formed steel, reinforced concrete, and wood. She is currently working on this Frost project: Historic Gymnasium Project – Frost Engineering & Consulting
