Kevin Q. Walsh Joins NIBS Board of Directors

SEPTEMBER 2026

Frost Principal Kevin Q. Walsh, PhD, PE, SE was nominated and selected to the Board of Directors of the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS). NIBS was created and authorized by the U.S. Congress in the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 and is tasked to serve as the nation’s authoritative source of findings and recommendations for the built environment.

NIBS is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of 21 members. The President of the United States, with the advice and consent of the Senate, appoints six members, and the remaining 15 are nominated by and elected from the nation’s construction industry.
